Pet Health Requirements and Boarding Policies
The Health and Safety of Your Pet is Our #1 Priority

All Dog Gone Acres requirements and policies are in place to ensure the health and safety of all pets at our facility.

Pet Health Requirements

All mandatory shot vaccinations requirements must be complete and documented to be able to board your pet. All shots must be up to date within a year. All records must be verified before boarding.

Dog Required Vaccinations

  • Rabies
  • Bordatella
  • DHLPP (Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus)
  • In addition to a Heartworm and Fecal check.

Cat Required Vaccinations

  • Distemper
  • Feline Leukemia booster
  • Rabies

Pet Boarding Policies

All guests are require to comply with the following policies:

  • All pets must be neutered or spayed.
  • Blankets and toys are welcome, but we can't guarantee their return. We recommend you don't bring their special toy or blanket. Blankets and rugs must be beach towel size or smaller, as they have to be laundered.
  • Reservations are required for boarding appointments, especially for holidays or prime time travel periods; ie. school breaks and weekends.
  • Sundays, holidays and prime time bookings are always charged. Early returns during holiday and prime time bookings are charged for the full period reserved. We require 10 days notice prior to your arrival date for any date changes or cancellations.
  • For all holiday and prime time bookings, we require a credit card number to hold your $50.00 deposit, which is required to make a reservation, similar to hotel booking. We will only charge the $50.00 deposit to your card if you fail to show for your appointment or fail to give the required 10 days notice.
  • If your pet arrives for boarding with signs of parasites or an offensive odor; ie, skunk, the pet will be bathed/dipped at the owners expense prior to being kenneled.
  • If your pet soils themselves, it will be bathed at the owner's expense.
  • We reserve the right to alter your pets assigned run/program to best suit it's needs.
  • Meet and greet temperament testing is required for all new clients.
  • Any pet that exhibits aggressive behavior will be placed in a secured area to avoid danger to employees.
